Original Stamp Art/Mixed Media Prints

These images are produced in one of my favorite ways of working: I carve the moose, bear, alders, sedges, etc. from stamp art material. The background sky and ground tones are painted with washes of block print ink, using Japanese sumi-e brushes, the star being done with stop-out.

I then ink the carved elements with the same brushes and stamp them over the imprimatura. As all are original pieces produced individually by hand there are slight variations, but the samples shown here (scenes I find evocative of my late-season, end-of-day wanderings in these environments) are quite closely representative of these themes as I repeat them.

Prints are available, unframed, in archival mats 16″ x 20″; image size 7 1/2″ x 9 1/2″. $350.00 each includes shipping. Full refund for returns received in perfect condition if not satisfied. All prints signed and dated by the artist.
